How it works

Four steps. You do two of them, we do two.

1. You design the portrait

First you choose the background colour: warm white, oat, sage or terracotta. Then the size and finish — 30×40 or 50×70 cm, as a loose print or framed in light wood, dark wood, black or white.

Last you upload the photo and write the dog's name exactly as it should appear on the print. If you would rather have no name, you choose that actively. It should never end up an empty field by accident.

2. We review the photo

Before we paint anything we look at the photo. About one photo in eight will not hold up, nearly always for the same reasons: strong backlight, the dog looking away, or the head too small in frame. If it will not hold up we get in touch and ask for another, and it costs you nothing.

Read the photo guide before you upload and it usually works first time.

3. You approve the portrait

The proof arrives by email within one working day of the photo being approved. If something looks wrong about the coat, the tone or the expression, just say so and we keep adjusting until you are happy, at no extra cost and with no cap on the number of changes. Nothing goes to print without your approval.

That is also why the approval matters. Once production has started the portrait is made to order for you, and the right of withdrawal no longer applies. We email you when that happens.

4. We print and ship

Once you approve, the portrait is printed on matte art paper and shipped to you, ready to hang or to frame. Free shipping in Sweden. See Shipping and delivery for current delivery times.

Is it a gift?

If you have a fixed date, write to hello@sitpretty.se before you order and we will tell you straight whether we can make it. We would rather say no than miss the date.

If something goes wrong

Transport damage or printing faults are always replaced with a reprint. Get in touch with a photo of the damage and we will sort it out.
