- Only once you have approved it do we print and ship
An ordinary phone photo goes a long way. It works best when the dog is looking towards the camera in soft light, with the head large in frame. Old and low-resolution photos work too, because the portrait is painted from scratch rather than enlarged. If the photo will not hold up we get in touch and ask for another before we start, and it costs you nothing.
Printed on thick, matte art paper. The matte surface is a deliberate choice and not a saving. The style is chalky and matte, and a glossy surface adds a sheen that makes the image read as a photograph rather than a painting.
The framed options arrive ready to hang, in light wood, dark wood, black or white. They are mounted behind plexiglass with the hanging fixture already in place. The plexiglass survives transport, and will not shatter if the frame comes down.
The portrait arrives by email within 1 working day of your photo being approved. Once you say yes we print and ship: 2 to 3 working days for a loose print and 3 to 4 working days for framed, to your door. Free shipping in Sweden.
You can cancel right up until we start painting. We email you when production begins, and from then the portrait is made to order and the right of withdrawal no longer applies. That is also why you always get to approve the portrait before it is printed.

Zelda's portrait came from a phone photo taken on the dog bed in the living room. The background is painted away; the eyes and the tilted ear stay.

Första versionen var redan fin men jag ville ha nosen lite mörkare. Justeringen gick smidigt och den nya versionen kändes helt perfekt.

Common questions
Will it really look like my dog?
Every portrait is reviewed by a person before it goes any further. You also see it yourself before we print, and we keep adjusting until you are happy.
Which photo should I choose?
One where the dog is looking towards the camera in soft light, with the head large in frame. Old and low-resolution photos usually work anyway, because we repaint the dog at print resolution rather than enlarging the photo. We review the photo before we start and get in touch if it will not hold up.
What if I do not like the portrait?
You tell us what to change and we do it again. At no extra cost and with no cap on the number of changes. Nothing is printed until you have approved it, so you never end up with something you did not say yes to.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, right up until we start painting. We email you when production begins, and at that point the right of withdrawal ends because the portrait is made to order. That is also why you always get to approve the portrait before it is printed.
Will it arrive by a particular date?
If it is a gift with a fixed date: write to us before you order and we will tell you straight whether we can make it. We would rather say no than miss the date.
